Committed to the Community

For Excel Title Group – Amarillo, caring for our community means supporting individuals and organizations that touch the lives of our neighbors.

As part of the community, Excel Title Group supports and encourages our employees to volunteer their time to a wide variety of worthwhile organizations in the Amarillo/Canyon area.  Here are just a few examples:

Opportunity School

The Opportunity School is a nonprofit organization in Amarillo, Texas, created in 1969 by volunteers from First Presbyterian Church to address a community need – children who lacked basic learning skills and experiences entered school unprepared for academic achievement, and many never caught up to their peers.  Opportunity School has been able to provide more than 3,600 young at-risk children with opportunities to learn and receive an excellent foundation for school and life for the past 47 years. The Opportunity School provides affordable, high-quality, early childhood education and caring family support during the primary years – from birth to five – primarily to children from low-income families at two campuses in Amarillo.

Amarillo Association of Realtors Bowling Tournament

The staff and management of Excel Title Group in Amarillo and Canyon took part in the Amarillo Association of Realtors bowling tournament to benefit the Presbyterian Children’s Home of Amarillo. Canned goods and other non-perishable food items were collected and donated to The Children’s Home. Excel Title Group was recognized as the AAOR Affiliate Member donating the largest amount of items for this important cause.

The Presbyterian Children’s Home is a local non-profit that enriches the lives and education of many at-risk children in their early developmental years. They believe that by restoring a child’s identity, they make a positive difference.

Our Children’s Blessing

Excel Title Group of Amarillo and Canyon dedicates many volunteer hours and resources in support of Our Children’s Blessing through various fundraisers and projects each year. Their mission is to be a financial and emotional blessing for a family that has experienced the death of a child.

When a child dies, it is devastating. The family not only suffers emotional pain but also a financial burden. Many people fall deep into debt and depression, and it can become overwhelming.

Our Children’s Blessing was created to help provide support during a family’s time of need, both financially and emotionally. They not only contribute funds, but also offer information to assist families trying to regain a normal life and to cope with the stress, heartache and empty feeling associated with deep loss.
